I was trying to do the puffy 3D heart that you have pictured with the bear..question: I did not understand what to do after you finish heart B? It says Merge the halves together: Insert hook into first stitch after sl st made on Top A and continue to make 1 sc in all 18 stitches. Insert hook back into the Top B and work 1 sc in next 9 sc. (One round completed with 36 sc) What string piece am I using to merge?later it says to use end of "A" to close gap, so that wasn't it.

Hi,
So for the heart when you finish the second top you don’t fasten off. You would continue the next stitch in the other top with the same pieced and then SC 18 stitches around and then the 19th SC you would single crochet it back into the first half again. And the from there you keep crocheting around in a circle. As for closing the gap, you would use the tail from the first top. So when you start the first stitch in merging them together make sure your tail from top A is in the middle to close the gap with. Hope that was clear enough! :)
